Minor league report - Kostopoulos leads Penguins to overtime win

An overtime goal by right winger Tom Kostopoulos gave the WIlkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (23-17-1-3) a 3-2 road win against the Norfolk Admirals Saturday.

Center Jayson Megna and left winger Scott Wilson each scored regulation goals for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton while goaltender Matt Murray made 23 saves in the win.

With the AHL entering its All-Star break, the Penguins’ next game is Friday on the road against the Springfield Falcons, 7 p.m.

Goaltender Franky Palazzese made 26 saves for the Wheeling Nailers (19-19-0-0) in a 4-1 home loss to the Fort Wayne Komets Saturday.

Wheeling’s next game is Sunday on the road against the Toledo Walleye, 5:15 p.m.
