Linebackers coach Brent Pry weighs in on freshmen, depth

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State linebacker’s coach Brent Pry met with the media Wednesday evening following the conclusion of practice.

While the linebackers are one position group where starting jobs really aren’t up for grabs with Nyeem Wartman-White, Jason Cabinda and Brandon Bell all penciled in as starters, building depth behind them is important. Freshmen Jake Cooper and Manny Bowen haven’t been on campus for two months just yet but are out there learning on the fly. Redshirt freshman Troy Reeder continues coming into his own while hybrid linebacker Koa Farmer does the same.
