Minor league report - Murray, Penguins shut out Falcons

Goaltender Matt Murray, in the lineup for injured starter Jeff Zatkoff recorded his first career AHL shutout by making 21 saves for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 5-0 home win against the Springfield Falcons Friday.

Right winger Bryan Rust had two goals and an assist for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton while center Nick Drazenovic scored two goals. Center Jean-Sebastien Dea scored the Penguins’ other goal.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s next game is Saturday on the road against the rival Hershey Bears, 7:05 p.m.
