Penguins assign Ebbett, Harrington to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

For the second time this week, the Penguins have assigned center Andrew Ebbett and defenseman Scott Harrington to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League.

They were sent to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Monday but were recalled Wednesday. Neither player has participated in an NHL game this season.

The Penguins did not hold an on-ice practice today in Nashville but held off-ice workouts. There was no media availability.

The NHL announced a scoring change from the Penguins’ 4-3 overtime loss to the Red Wings Thursday. Defenseman Simon Despres was awarded a second assist on right winger Pascal Dupuis’ goal at 5:12 of the first period. Despres finished the game with two assists, a new career-best.
