Minor league report - Penguins winning streak snapped

Center Andrew Ebbett and right winger Bryan Rust each recorded two assists for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (24-18-1-3) in a 6-2 home loss to the rival Lehigh Valley Phantom Saturday.

Goaltender Matt Murray recorded the loss after making nine saves. Right winger Tom Kuhnhackl and left winger Scott Wilson scored goals for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton which had a four-game winning streak snapped.

The Penguins’ next game is at home against the Springfield Falcons, 7:05 p.m.

Goaltender Franky Palazzese made 22 saves for the Wheeling Nailers (20-21-0-0) in a 4-3 road loss to the Kalamazoo Wings Saturday.

Wheeling’s next game is Wednesday on the road against the Reading Royals, 7:30 p.m.
