Ruopp assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

The Penguins have assigned defenseman Harrison Ruopp to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Ruopp, 22, appeared in seven AHL games last season and had no points. He is entering the final year of a three-year, entry-level contract.

This move reduces the number of players in training camp to 49.
