Minor league report - Penguins open season with overtime win

Left winger Scott Wilson scored two goals, including one in overtime, to give the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (1-0-0-0) a 2-1 season opening road win against the Providence Bruins Friday.

Goaltender Matt Murray made 40 saves in the victory.

THe Penguins’ next game is Saturday on the road against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
