Pirates minor-leaguer Deibinson Romero has agreed to terms with the Korean Baseball Organization’s Doosan Bears, according to Doosan and the Yonhap News Agency. The club is expected to hammer out a buyout with the Pirates soon to finalize the deal.

Romero, 28, signed a one-year minor-league deal with the Pirates in December and has been hot at Class AAA Indianapolis. He had a .302/.403/.548 batting line through 38 games, with 13 doubles and six homers, including a two-run bomb Sunday. He hit safely in his last seven games.

Romero has never reached the major league level. He was 4 for 22 in 17 games with the Pirates in spring training.
