The three-star prospect from North Carolina’s Independence High School was slated to enroll in January. Colon gave Penn State his verbal pledge in June, during a month where the Lions picked up momentum on the recruiting trail as he was one of six players to give James Franklin a verbal pledge that month.
The Lions’ 2016 class is ranked No. 8 according to Rivals, but with a little more than three months until signing day when the class is finalized there’s still a ways to go. Whether or not Colon will be the only one to head elsewhere remains to be seen as Penn State (5-2, 2-1 Big Ten) heads into the second half of the season.
