Bennett skates

Penguins right winger Beau Bennett, who has been on injured-reserve since the start of the season with an apparent knee injury, worked out with conditioning coach Mike Kadar on the ice at Consol Energy Center this morning.

It is believed to be the first time Bennett has skated since being injured, although that could not immediately be confirmed.

Injured defenseman Robert Bortuzzo and defenseman Scott Harrington also took part in the workout.

Bennett, who missed 50 games because of a broken wrist last season, was injured during a training-camp practice.
