Minor league report - Penguins fall to Bears, 4-1

Goaltender Matt Murray made 24 saves for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (3-4-0-0) in a 4-1 road loss to the rival Hershey Bears Saturday.

Center Jayson Megna scored Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s lone goal in the second period.

The Penguins’ next game is Sunday at home against the Binghamton Senators, 4:05 p.m.

Defenseman Zach Uhen scored two goals for the Wheeling Nailers (2-1-0-0) in a 5-1 road win against the South Carolina Stingrays Saturday.

Goaltender Franky Palazzese made 32 saves for Wheeling.

The Nailers’ next game is Thursday on the road against the Reading Royals, 7:30 p.m.
