Update 5:49 p.m.: Jose Tabata does not have a concussion, both he and Clint Hurdle said, after Tabata ran into the outfield wall making a catch during Sunday's game.

"He went through a batter of tests today, starting with the doctor," Hurdle said. "They do the concussion test, he passed that. He ran on the field, went in the cage, reflexes, all different activities that we could run him through. He’s going to be available off the bench."

Tabata said he hit the wall with his shoulder first, then his head. He said he did not remember much after the collision but felt fine today.

***The Brewers put Lyle Overbay on the paternity list today and recalled Elian Herrera.

***Hurdle on how to approach Gallardo: "He’s going to work both sides of the plate. You have to, but it’s hard to. You really need to pick a side of the plate. That’s what we’ve thrown out there for our guys. Because if you’re trying to hit four pitches, and you’re trying to hit up, down, in and out, that’s when he just ties you up. Long day at the plate."
